The wood species available are Oak, Hickory, Maple, and Cherry. There are several colors and unique door styles in each wood specie.  The cabinet line includes stock sizes of cabinets as well as full customization. You design and HomeCrest builds.

Construction
The boxes of the cabinets are available in three types of construction.

  1. All furniture grade particle board veneered with laminate imprinted wood matching the wood specie and color selected.
  2. End panels that are plywood while the bottom and back and or top are of furniture grade particle board. The end panels can be set up to match the wood and color selected.
  3. All Plywood Construction (APC) indicates that all panels: ends, back, bottom and top are manufactured out of plywood. The end panels can be finished in the appropriate wood specie and color selected.

The front face is manufactured out of the solid hardwood of choice and joined dados or mortise and tenons into the structure. The drawer fronts are of glued up strips of solid hardwood of choice.

The door frames are of the same solid hardwood of choice mortise and tenon or mitered at the joints. The panel, recessed or raised, is dadoed into the door frame with flexibility for expansion and contraction.

The door face panel is normally a veneer that is fused to the medium density fiberboard or a particleboard base.  This is true for the recessed and raised panel.

The drawer box is manufactured from medium density fiberboard. It conforms to all standards and supports a weight of 100 pounds. The glides are coated for smoothness and quietness of operation. A dovetail option for the drawer box is available.

These cabinets meet the American National Standards Institute's (ansi) and the Kitchen Cabinet Manufactures Association (kcma) specifications,

Laminates – Laminate cabinets are those that have a plastic coating placed upon a fiberboard core. Construction is very similar to the wood cabinets except for the surfaces coated with a laminate.

Handicapped


Various cabinets are available for accessibility purposes. Some cabinets can be adapted to create that required design while other cabinets are manufactured specifically for the purpose.

Construction



Kitchen Kompact


This line of cabinets provides a low cost, very stable, high quality box for the cabinet. The back of the box is built with hardboard structurally supported with solid pine members. The bottom is 3/16” hardboard providing an adequate floor designed to meet kcma requirements. The side panels are constructed from furniture grade particleboard and then veneered with unfinished birch on the interior and finished birch on the exterior that is classified as plywood. The exterior is finished and the interior can be painted with the color of your choice to provide that special look.

The front face is manufactured out of the solid kiln-dried hardwood of choice and dadoed or mortised and tenon into the structure with glue to eliminate nailing. The drawer fronts are of glued up strips of solid kiln-dried hardwood of choice.

The door frames are of the same solid kiln-dried hardwood of choice mortised and tenon at the joints. The panel, recessed or raised, is dadoed into the door frame with flexibility for expansion and contraction.

The drawer box is manufactured from baltic birch 9 ply plywood. All drawers feature full front to back epoxy coated suspension system. Drawers glide smoothly on a ball bearing operated nylon roller mechanism. It conforms to all ANSI standards and supports a weight of 100 pounds. The glides are coated for smoothness and quietness of operation.

The door face panel is normally a veneer that is fused to the a warp-resistant chip board for the base core.  This is true for the recessed and raised panel. It is then veneered with a rotary cut red oak face.

All exterior surfaces are finished with a new synthetic resin developed exclusively for Kitchen Kompact. Cured by a radiant heat process, this unique catalyzed finish is extremely resistant to household chemicals, water, alcoholic beverages, and mild acids – even nail polish – and has excellent wear resistance. Cabinet exteriors are protected with a one-coat sealer and topcoat. All cabinets feature a special hand-wiped stain.

Shelves of all wall cabinets feature adjustable positions. A selection of six different heights is built into each 30” high unit. On 2-door wall units, the center 3” stile, vertical post, is used for center support of the adjustable shelves. It is recommended that a ¼” hole be drilled in the back for additional support of adjustable shelves. An extra clip is provided for additional support. Shelves are ½” chip core, with rounded front edge and printed wood grain.

Hardware for the doors are Blum hidden hinges providing the Euro look. No door or drawer pulls are provided. The drawers do have finger pulls cut into the bottom of the front.

Vanities are provided for all lines of cabinets.

Quality Cabinets


Wood cabinets


This cabinet line is a mid price line, providing a very stable and high quality box. The back of the box is of hardboard structurally supported with high-density fiberboard stringers. The corners are stabilized with plastic gussets. The floor is manufactured from particleboard and lined with a laminate. The side panels are manufactured from furniture grade particleboard and lined with a laminate. The side panels may be upgraded to plywood to provide the same aging process as the front faces.

The front face is manufactured out of the solid hardwood of choice and joined dados or mortise and tenons into the structure. The drawer fronts are of glued up strips of solid hardwood of choice.

The door frames are of the same solid hardwood of choice mortise and tenon or mitered at the joints. The panel, recessed or raised, is dadoed into the door frame with flexibility for expansion and contraction.

Bridgewood Cabinetry


Wood cabinets


This line of cabinets includes stock sizes and a fully customized line of cabinets. The stock cabinets are manufactured in 3" increments up to 48" in width. Bridgewood cabinets will equal the price range of other cabinets that we represent, but the door styles and wood species are more extensive and very unique. There are several levels of distressing available. The various style of cabinet determines the box structure.  The same face frame and door construction is available on the three lines of cabinets.

Wheatland


The cabinet box is constructed of furniture grade particleboard lined with a laminate. The sides, back, and bottom are manufactured from 5/8" laminate-lined particleboard. The structure is very strong and stable under most conditions. 

The drawer box is constructed from 5/8" solid maple and attached through standard mechanisms - English or French dovetailed into the drawer face.

The doors are the most unique style available in today’s market. The rails and stiles can be varied in size to create your ambience for your kitchen.

The drawer fronts are solid hardwood of choice joined together or manufactured with five pieces.

All cabinets conform to kcma and ansi standards.

 

Plainswood


The cabinet box is constructed of plywood veneered with birch. The sides, back, and bottom are manufactured from 5/8" unfinished birch veneered plywood. The structure is very strong and stable under extreme conditions. 

The drawer box is constructed from 5/8" solid maple and either attached with English or French dovetails into the drawer face.

The doors are the most unique style available in today’s market. The rails and stiles can be varied in size to create your ambience for your cabinet structure.

The drawer fronts are solid hardwood of choice joined together or manufactured with five pieces.

All cabinets conform to kcma and ansi standards.

Timberwood


The cabinet box is construct red of plywood board veneered with maple. The sides, back, and bottom are manufactured from 5/8" maple veneered plywood. The structure is very strong and stable under extreme conditions. 

The drawer box is constructed from 5/8" solid maple and either attached English or French dovetails into the drawer face.

The doors are the most unique style available in today’s market. The rails and stiles can be varied in size to create your ambience for your cabinet structure.

The drawer fronts are solid hardwood of choice joined together or manufactured with five pieces.

All cabinets conform to kcma and ansi standards.

Fully customized cabinets or furniture

Bridgewood can manufacture for the customer any structure that conforms to 48" wide by 96" tall by 30" deep. You design the system and furnish the structural plan and Bridgewood will build the unit.
