End Grain Butcher Block
This process is where the edge grain of wood stock is joined together to provide the surface. See drawing. This style is expensive and labor intensive to produce.
Edge Grain Butcher Block
This is where the longitudinal axis, strips of wood, of the wood specie is joined to together to form the top. This style is most prevalent.
Flat Butcher Block
This is where the wood specie is joined together in a flat manner at the edges. The wood strips may be as wide as the customer desires.
