Laminate flooring is a beautiful and cost effective replacement for any floor in the home. It brings back the 1900s look with its warmness of wood and allows for easy installation for the do-it-your- selfer. The floor is easy to keep clean and provides an excellent surface to walk on. The laminate flooring can be placed over wood, concrete and vinyl floors.
Our laminate flooring reacts as a 8mm thick flooring but is only 7mm thick. We have several styles available with many different patterns randomly set up within the manufactured runs. The manufactures website provides complete Calculators, Installation, Warranty, FAQ and Glossary information.
Many areas of the installation require a transition strip. These strips are “T”, hard surface, carpet, and stair.
T – transition is used between laminate-to-laminate or laminate to tile.
Hard surface transition is used between laminate flooring and vinyl or concrete.
Carpet transition is used between laminate flooring and carpet.
Stair – is a bull nose that is used on the front of the stair step.
Many of these transitions may be adapted to other areas by being very creative.
Requirements For Flooring
By measuring the width and length of the room the square footage can be determined. With this area computation the total quantity of flooring can be established. We do not suggest an additive, since there is very little waste. The flooring can be laid on an angle for a nice touch to the project. We do sell single planks when requested.
